email settings in OUTLOOK 2003 software

These instructions refer to setting up an email account named user under the domain domain.co.il. Replace domain.co.il with your domain name. Please note: If this is the first time Outlook has been launched, start directly from step 2.


Under the Tools menu, open Email Accounts. 1
Select the first of the four options (Create a new email account) and click Next. 2
Select the second option - POP3, and Next 3
In the name field, enter your name or company name. What is written here is what people who receive email from you will see. In the email address field, enter your full email address. In the server details, the addresses of both mail servers are mail.domain.com. Replace domain.co.il with your domain name. In the username field, enter your full email address. In the password field, enter the password you set when you opened the mailbox in the management interface. Now click on the Additional Settings button. 4
In the Outgoing Server tab, select the option "My outgoing server requires authentication." 5
Click OK, Next, and Finish. 6
Your email account is now set up and ready to use. 7
